Introduction of the use of xenon in cardiology, neurology, oncology

She began her career in 1981 as a neurologist at the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 in Moscow.
She and her husband decided to work independently in one of the regions of the Russian Federation and in 1987, at the call of the Sakhalin Oblast Administration, they started work in the Central Regional Hospital of Makarov, Sakhalin Oblast.
There Galina Sergeevna worked as a neurologist in the hospital, in the evenings she worked in the polyclinic, and when called she came to the maternity hospital to examine newborns. When a newborn was diagnosed with a neurological disease, she continued to treat and observe them in the children’s polyclinic.
After 4 years she was appointed deputy chief physician of the Central Regional Hospital of Makarov, continuing to combine this work with the position of neurologist of the hospital, polyclinic and maternity hospital.
In 1994, she and her family returned to Moscow and she continued to work as a neurologist at the City Clinical Hospital No. 20 in Moscow.
Three years later, she was appointed head of the department for treatment of patients with acute cerebral circulatory disorders and neuroresuscitation.
In 2007, Galina Sergeevna became Deputy Chief Physician for Clinical and Expert Work at City Clinical Hospital No. 20.
In 2008 she joined the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia as Deputy Director of the Department of Organization of Medical Care and Health Care Development, supervising the issues of normative-legal regulation and organizational and methodological work on the implementation of the priority national project “Health” within the competence of the Department in the regions of Russia.
Due to family circumstances, in 2011 she returned to work in the city network as Deputy Chief Physician of Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 20 of the Moscow City Health Department. Her competence included issues related to the organization of medical care for patients with vascular diseases.
When she was the head of the regional vascular center, the department of vascular neurology, early rehabilitation for stroke patients, intensive care unit for patients with acute cerebral circulatory disorders and the department of vascular surgery were opened, the program of medical care for patients with vascular diseases in the North-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow was prepared.
On April 1, 2013, Galina Sergeevna was invited to the position of Chief Physician of P. Hertsen MORI. She supervised high-tech medical care for cancer patients from the Russian Federation regions.
In 2014, after the establishment of National Medical Research Radiological Centre (NMRRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Galina Sergeevna Alekseeva was appointed as Deputy Director General of NMRRC for Medical Work, also the organizational and methodological work on the treatment activities of the branches of the Center, taking into account the regulatory and legal documents was in her competence. In 7 years’ time Galina Sergeevna managed to increase the flow of patients more than twice, the number of surgical operations, including those with the use of high-tech methods, increased significantly.

For the active development of medical care for patients with vascular diseases in the institution and the district she was awarded “Moscow Manager of the Year 2012”.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Rehabilitation Trauma Center of Moscow, constantly contributing to charitable assistance to the Children’s Center, helping to purchase necessary medical equipment.
She has repeatedly organized charitable assistance to flood victims, fire victims, cancer patients in Syria.
Laureate of the Moscow Mayor’s Award for collective work on surgical prevention of ischemic stroke in 2005.
Alekseeva Galina holds certificates of merit from the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Health Department; she was awarded the “Excellence in Healthcare” badge, the Order of Hippocrates, the Medal “For Services to National Healthcare”. Honored Doctor of Russia.
