Vursol Dmitry Anatolyevich

Biography

In 2001 Dmitry Anatolyevich Vursol graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Moscow Institute of Medical and Social Rehabilitation. From 2001 to 2003, he underwent clinical residency at the Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute named after M.F. Vladimirsky (MONIKI) specialising in surgery.

In 2005, he completed professional retraining (initial specialisation) in oncology at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and in 2011 in thoracic surgery at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia.
In 2009, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic “Intrapleural photodynamic therapy with Photosens in patients with primary and metastatic pleural lesions complicated by malignant pleuritis” in the fields of 14.00.14 — oncology, 14.00.27 — surgery. Within the framework of the department’s research topics, he directly engages with the treatment issues of patients with primary and metastatic pleural lesions complicated by malignant pleuritis; he participates in studies dedicated to the development and improvement of surgical and combined treatments for patients with malignant tumours of the lungs, trachea, mediastinum and chest wall.
