Medicinal treatment
The capacity of the day hospital is 32 beds, which allows 50-60 patients to receive drug therapy daily. 450-500 patients receive medical treatment in the day hospital every month. The department is equipped with modern high-tech equipment for both short-term injections and long-term infusions of antitumor drugs. Patient management tactics are based on modern international standards for the diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms. The decision on the choice of treatment tactics in each specific case is made by a multidisciplinary team of specialists in joint consultations.
On the basis of the day hospital, drug therapy with cytostatic drugs, hormone therapy, targeted therapy aimed at blocking a specific molecular target in the tumor that induces tumor growth, immunotherapy with inhibitors of immune control points that reactivate the antitumor immune response is carried out. Depending on the specific clinical situation, drug therapy is used as an independent treatment method, as well as as part of complex and combined treatment.
