Chess against Cancer
A two-day rapid chess marathon dedicated to World Cancer Day will be held on February 3 and 4 in a hybrid format.
The tournament is organized with the assistance of the Association of Oncologists of Russia and the Russian Chess Federation.
The competition is open not only to employees, doctors and nurses, but also to patients of oncology treatment facilities.
The first rapid chess tournament will be held in the online format on the Lichess.org platform on February 3. It will start at 12:00 Moscow time. The competition will be held under the Swiss system in 7 rounds.
The second rapid chess tournament and a master class will take place on February 4 in the face-to-face format at the Botvinnik Central Children’s School (14 Gogolevsky bldg., 14, bldg. 1, Moscow).
Gathering of participants and registration – from 15:30 to 15:50, opening of the tournament – at 15:50, beginning – at 16:00.
The number of participants of the tournament and master class is limited.
Register for participation in the in-person tournament and master class on February 4 by filling out the registration form for the online tournament on February 3.
