DELEGATIONS FROM BRAZIL AND RUSSIAN REGIONS VISITED THE NATIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH RADIOLOGICAL CENTRE
The National Medical Research Radiological Centre (NMRRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation hosted several official delegations, introducing colleagues to modern approaches to organizing cancer care, high‑tech treatment methods, and scientific developments in the field of nuclear medicine.
A formal delegation from the Federative Republic of Brazil visited the A. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Centre. The delegation was led by Fernanda de Negri, State Secretary for Science, Technology and Health at the Ministry of Health of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the Centre’s major scientific and clinical developments in radiology and nuclear medicine.
Today, the Center has the largest national experience in treating patients using radiopharmaceuticals. Foreign colleagues were shown a state‑of‑the‑art X‑ray surgical operating room equipped for high‑tech interventions, a nuclear pharmacy, and an extensive fleet of radiation equipment.
On the same day, an off‑site educational session for heads of medical organizations was held at the P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute as part of the «Chief Physician School — Region» project. Chief physicians and deputy heads of healthcare institutions from various regions of the country, including the Novgorod Region and the Altai, arrived in Moscow. The delegation was welcomed by Dmitry Vursol, Deputy Director for Clinical Work at the Institute.
The visit program was designed as a hands‑on immersion into the activities of the federal oncological center. Participants visited:
- the operating unit;
- intensive care units;
- departments of combined treatment methods;
- the radiation therapy department;
- they also learned about the capabilities of radionuclide diagnostics and the work of the GMP laboratory.
Particular attention was paid to:
- organising medical care;
- patient routing;
- implementing modern management solutions;
- developing high‑tech oncological services in the regions.
The visits by Russian and international delegations further confirmed the high level of the national oncological service and the significant role of the NMRRC as a leading scientific and clinical platform for:
- knowledge exchange;
- personnel training;
- advancing modern technologies for treating oncological diseases.
