The P. Hertsen Oncology Care Foundation and the Russian Association of Oncologists organized an educational trip to China for young radiotherapists.
TheP.Hertsen Oncology Care Foundation with the support of the Russian Association of Oncologists is implementing a large-scale educational program for young specialists.
On October 17 and 18, 2024, the best radiotherapists from the Russian regions were trained at one of the leading state oncology centers in China, Zhenjiang cancer hospital Hangzhou.
This project was a continuation of the Foundation’s strategy aimed at developing professional skills and improving the qualifications of young oncologists in our country. The project was supported by the Chief Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation, Director General of the National Medical Research Oncological Centre of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Andrei KAPRIN.
At the request of the Foundation, the chief oncologists of the regions selected and approved candidates of young doctors who became participants of the project and underwent training in China. This year, young scientists from Stavropol, Novosibirsk, Donetsk, Kazan and other cities were able to participate.
A rich scientific program awaited the participants: a course of lectures on the therapy of oncological diseases based on the approaches adopted in China, reports on the possibilities of the domestic market development program and, of course, a unique opportunity to observe the work of doctors in the hospital departments.
Last year alone, the Center treated more than 1 million cancer patients, which underlines its high level and importance in the field of healthcare.
