One of the largest sections of the VII Forum of Oncology and Radiotherapy “For Life” will be “Abdominal Oncology”. It will be held on September 20 in Congress Hall 3.
Vladimir Trifanov, head of the abdominal surgery center of the P.Hertsen MORI, tells about what reports are waiting for its participants.
“A special highlight of the section on liver cancer will be a report from Belarus, during which our colleagues will share their experience of liver transplantation in STEMI.
In the pancreatic cancer subsection, we will present the latest technologies and techniques, which will be reported by our colleagues from the Loginov Institute, on mini-invasive resections and long-term survival results in this complex cohort of patients. Colleagues from leading federal centers will talk about the results of neoadjuvant therapy of pancreatic cancer.
In the section on colorectal cancer, key experts from our country will discuss how to avoid surgery in the era of targeted therapy and radiation therapy.
I am sure that the participants of our section will be surprised by the amount of new information we will present at the Forum. We have tried to focus on those reports that stand at the intersection of oncosurgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Therefore, the section will be of interest not only to oncosurgeons, but also to doctors of drug and radiation therapy, as well as doctors who work in the general medical network”.
