“I WILL BE GRATEFUL TO MY DOCTOR FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!”
Dear friends!
We continue to tell you the most unusual stories that we recorded on the eve of the New Year. Each of them is interesting and instructive in its own way.
The second story is about Tamara Nikolaevna, a resident of the Moscow region.
Every Wednesday Alexey Nevolskikh, deputy director for medical work of the A. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Centre (MRRC) – the branch of the FSBI “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” (NMRRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, starts the same way for many years: Tamara Nikolaevna, a patient he operated on 10 years ago, comes to work with him.
Why did this happen?
“I got to Alexei Alekseevich quite by accident – the oncologist at the place of residence referred me for additional examination. I was not feeling well, felt very weak… At that time I did not know what was waiting for me. I was diagnosed with second stage sigmoid colon cancer. After getting acquainted with the doctor, I realized that he had golden hands, and I was really lucky. I trusted Alexey Alekseevich unconditionally. When I learned about my diagnosis, I decided: I do not cry and will not cry, because by that time I had already lived happy years full of joy and love. Everything went well, I had surgery and then several courses of chemotherapy. I didn’t even feel the weight of the operation…I will be grateful to my doctor for the rest of my life!»
After the treatment Tamara Nikolayevna is regularly checked up by us. The disease is gone, and the friendship and good relationship between Tamara Nikolaevna and Alexey Alekseevich lasts till now.
The woman is 77 years old, and over the years of remission she has acquired more than one hobby. One of them is cooking. Tamara Nikolaevna is fond of preparing desserts – she makes cakes, cupcakes and pastries. For many years our heroine comes to the Center weekly to visit her beloved doctor and brings him extraordinary home baked goods, prepared with warmth and love. They drink coffee, talk about life and laugh a lot. Then they say goodbye, but only for a week.
Next Wednesday Tamara Nikolaevna will come to see her doctor again, and the aroma of homemade pastries and chocolate happiness will waft through the corridor of the clinic.
