Leading experts from the National Medical Research Radiological Centre took part in the School of Oncologists and Radiologists-2023.

On November 2 and 3 the School of Oncologists and Radiologists-2023 was held on the basis of the regional clinical oncology center with the support of the regional governor Alexander Gusev in Voronezh.

The event was planned as a platform for the exchange of best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms and the organization of healthcare in the field of oncology. The country’s leading experts came to attend these classes.

Director General of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Kaprin, Deputy Minister of Health of Voronezh Region Oleg Minakov, Rector of Voronezh State Medical University named after N.N. Burdenko, chief physician of the Voronezh Regional Oncology Center, Professor Ivan Moshurov and other officials addressed welcoming speeches to the participants.

Before the opening of the School, the new building of the surgical complex of Regional Oncology Center, equipped with the latest technology, was demonstrated. And this is where the main events took place.

The first day was dedicated to “live surgery”, which was broadcast from the operating rooms of the new complex in the School’s audience. Deputy Director General for Surgery of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Professor Andrey Ryabov, head of the Department of Oncology and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery of the Breast and Skin, Doctor of Medical Sciences Aziz Zikiryakhodzhaev, head of the abdominal department, MD Vladimir Trifanov, head of the department of radiation and surgical treatment of diseases of the abdominal region at A. Tsyb MRRC, PhD Leonid Petrov and other specialists from the National Medical Research Radiological Centre took part in master classes with surgeons of the Voronezh Oncology Center.

The second day of the School was devoted to the work of seven sections in the main areas of industry development. And over 250 specialists gathered in audiences, equipped with the most modern telecommunication equipment.

The latest technologies in radiotherapy, prevention and treatment of radiation injuries were discussed in sections with the participation of the head of the radiation therapy department of P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute, PhD Inna Droshneva and leading researcher at the Department of Radiation and Combined Treatment Methods of gynecological diseases with the group of restorative and aesthetic medicine of A. Tsyb MRRC, Doctor of Medical Sciences Liana Mkrtchyan.

Participants in the specialized section chaired by Professor I.P. Moshurov and the head of the department of medical care coordination of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre, PhD Y.V. Samsonov paid special attention to the legal aspects of medical care and issues of organizing healthcare in oncology.

As Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Kaprin said in his speech that the specialists of the Voronezh Oncology Center demonstrate a very high professional level both in skill and in exploration of advanced technology, the center has grown into a real scientific and clinical center and in terms of organization and oncological care is among the best regional organizations, not inferior to federal clinics.
