The nurses of the NMIC of Radiology were awarded diplomas and honorary badges of the International Red Cross Movement “For Merit AND MERCY”!

On July 25, Moscow doctors and volunteers were awarded diplomas, honorary badges and medals of the Russian Red Cross for services to society in implementing the ideas of humanism and compassion for people, as well as self-sacrifice in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Honorary awards were received by 100 doctors, nurses and volunteers of Moscow, including nurses of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, who are members of the Association of ROOMS of Moscow – Natalia Yuryevna Zarubina – chief nurse of the P.A. MNIOI. Hertsen, Volkova Tatiana Borisovna – nurse of the Department of High–dose Chemotherapy with bone marrow transplantation unit of the P.A. Hertsen and Pinina Elena Yuryevna – Senior nurse of the Department of Endoscopy of the P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute.

The solemn event began with a minute of silence in honor of the memory of the deceased doctors and patients from COVID-19. In his welcoming speech, Igor Trunov, chairman of the Moscow Branch of the Russian Red Cross, noted that every time has its own heroes. “Today our heroes wear protective suits. For several months, we have appreciated the enormous contribution of doctors and volunteers to the victory over the insidious enemy. Despite the deadly risk, sleepless round-the-clock shifts and a schedule without days off, they save lives by doing their duty. We know and appreciate their work.” He also said that the Red Cross is creating an International Book of Memory COVID-19 with the names of medical heroes from all over the world.

Congratulations to our colleagues on the well-deserved award!
