NMRRC PROVIDES ORGANIZATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASSISTANCE TO COLLEAGUES FROM NEW REGIONS
Specialists of the N. Lopatkin Scientific Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology (SRIUIR) – the branch of the FSBI “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation continue to provide organizational and methodological assistance in the field of urology to colleagues from the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. Interaction between specialists is carried out within the framework of the federal project “Development of a network of national medical research centers” of the national project “Health Care”.
It should be reminded that since November 2022, the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation has been appointed as a curator of medical institutions in the profile of “oncology” and “urology” of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. Since then, specialists of the N. Lopatkin Scientific Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology (SRIUIR) travel to new regions every year.
The experts’ tasks include a comprehensive assessment of the level of equipment and work of specialized departments, as well as the development of proposals to improve the provision of modern medical care. In addition, specialists from the NMRRC help to analyze complex clinical cases and jointly develop treatment tactics for patients. Specialists of medical institutions of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics can take in-person and distance learning courses at the Center’s branches in Moscow and Obninsk, which include theory and master classes in operating rooms.

Lopatkin Scientific Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology (SRIUIR) for Scientific Work – the branch of the FSBI “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation who heads the expert group on the profile of “urology”, notes that the service is constantly developing.
“In the LNR and DNR work very competent specialists who know modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the urinary system. Also, our doctors provide assistance to their colleagues through the channel of telemedicine communication. It is important to emphasize that in particularly difficult cases, when patients require high-tech assistance from specialists of the federal center, we assist in hospitalizing patients for treatment at the N. Lopatkin Scientific Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology,” commented the specialist.
