SPECIALISTS FROM NMRRC HELD A MASTER CLASS IN RYAZAN

Development, improvement of cancer diagnostics and treatment methods is one of the main tasks of the Chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Kaprin.

Another school of professional excellence was held in Ryazan on the basis of the regional clinical oncodispensary. The organizers of the event – the Ministry of Health of the Ryazan region, NMRC Radiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and the Ryazan OCOD, emphasized the use of minimally invasive and reconstructive technologies.

Live video thoracoscopic lobectomy was performed and demonstrated by Dr. A.B. Ryabov – deputy Director General of National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for Surgery. Laparoscopic prostatectomy was performed by the Deputy Director for Surgery of the P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute (MORI) – the branch of the FSBI “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Medical Sciences N.V. Vorobyov.

Laparoscopic gastroectomy performed by the Head of the Thoracoabdominal Department of the P. Hertsen MORI, Candidate of Medical Sciences I.V. Kolobaev. He demonstrated the modern possibilities of minimally invasive gastric surgery.

E.A. Troshenkov, Head of the Oncoplastic Surgery Department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, performed an operation to replace an expander with an implant and to reduce another breast.

A.N. Gritsai – professor, Head of the Department of Reconstructive Plastic Gynecology and Oncology of the N. Lopatkin SRIUIR; I.V. Novikova – senior researcher, professor of the Division of Reproductive and Urinary Tumour of the P. Hertsen MORI; A.V. Mordovsky – researcher of the Department of Head and Neck Tumors and Microsurgery of the P. Hertsen MORI; L.O. Petrov – Head of the department of radiation and surgical treatment of the A. Tsyba MRRC also shared their experience with Ryazan oncologists at the master class.

During the broadcast of master classes and scientific program employees of the dispensary and students of Ryazan Medical University had the opportunity to directly ask questions on the specialty of the best surgeons from Moscow and Obninsk.
