October 21, 2023 Minister of Health of the Russian Federation M.A. Murashko, accompanied by the specialists of the Russian Ministry of Health, visited the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

The delegation was met by the Head of the Republic Kazbek Kokov. In Nalchik, specialists visited the Republican Children’s Clinical Center, city clinic N3 and the perinatal center.

Also, a visiting working meeting was held at the Government House of the KBR under the chairmanship of M.A. Murashko, where the results of the visit and current issues of health care development in the Republic were discussed. Measures have been proposed to reduce mortality and increase life expectancy in the Republic.

The system for building a modern model of organizing medical care  was discussed at all stages.

Chief freelance specialist, oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.D. Kaprin reported on the state and prospects for the development of the oncology service in the region under his supervision. The team of the National Medical Radiology Research Centre, under his leadership, conducted a tour of the structural divisions of the oncology clinic, and noted the positive impact of the federal project on the development of republic oncology services.

Diagnostics, minimally invasive surgical technologies, and radiotherapy are actively developing thanks to re-equipment.
