The chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia Andrey Kaprin noted the high level of work of Ulyanovsk specialists: the “Oncopatrul” was held in the region

On March 31, the results of the All-Russian educational project “Oncopatrul” were summed up in the Ulyanovsk region. The ceremony was attended by Andrey Kaprin, Chief Freelance Oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health, Director General of the NMIC of Radiology of the Russian Ministry of Health, and Alexey Russkikh, Governor of the region.

During the working visit that completes the work of the Oncopatrul in the region, Andrey Kaprin visited the Ulyanovsk Regional Oncological Dispensary, held a traditional meeting with students of the Ulyanovsk State Medical University (UlSU), where, among other things, an agreement on cooperation with the NMIC of Radiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia was signed. Among the main areas of joint activity with the university are cooperation in the implementation of educational programs, practical training of residents and training of the teaching staff of UlSU on the basis of NMIC radiology.

-The Oncopatrul project is not only an opportunity to show the methodology of early examination of patients, examination at the workplace, at a convenient time for them, but also mutual, close work of federal centers with specialists from the regions, — said Andrey Kaprin.  – We see how adapted and adapted the oncological service in the region is to providing high-tech care. In the Ulyanovsk region, it is developing, very serious personnel are gathering, strong doctors are trained here. Of course, financial support is also important. It’s nice to see that young people have gone into medicine, including the treatment of oncological diseases. This is very important.”

Recall that in the region, the events of the All-Russian project “Oncopatrul” were held from March 22 to March 31. During the program, 6 surgical master classes were held, during which 10 high-tech operations were performed, thematic seminars and conferences were held for primary care physicians, as well as practical lectures for nurses. In total, over 700 specialists took part in the educational activities of the project. In turn, on March 30 and 31, 300 employees of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant underwent a health check to identify the seven most common types of cancer. In the course of the work, specialists of the NMIC Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation identified more than 30 suspected malignant neoplasms, among which prostate, breast and thyroid cancers are most common.

During the solemn event, where the results of the project were summed up, Alexey Russian expressed gratitude to the staff of the NMIC Radiology for their contribution to the protection of public health. In turn, 10 doctors of the region received special awards from the hands of the chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia Andrey Kaprin, whose work and work were evaluated at such a high level.  “Improving the professionalism of doctors and the fight against cancer are the most important tasks of the national Healthcare project. I thank the entire team of Oncopatrul for the implementation of this grandiose, socially significant and necessary project,” said Olesya Kolotik-Kameneva, Acting Minister of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region. The Ulyanovsk region became the 23rd region in a row where the project was implemented, the baton was transferred to the Saratov region.
