Oncopatrul celebrates its birthday, summing up the results of the project in North Ossetia
Last Friday, Vladikavkaz summed up the results of the All-Russian information and educational project “Oncopatrul”, held in the Republic from June 14 to June 16. North Ossetia-Alania became the “jubilee” region for the project – the twenty-fifth. And it was on these days – on June 19, 2019 – that a trilateral agreement was signed between the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, the NMRRC of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Association of Oncological Patients “Hello” on the start of the work of the Oncopatrol, which over the years has grown from a local action to a large-scale All-Russian project.
Traditionally, specialists of the Press Service of the NMRRC held a series of events for primary care physicians, nurses, oncologists – more than 500 doctors visited them in total, and also examined and consulted 203 patients – residents of the city and employees of the Bavaria brewing company. In 60 people, the oncological diagnosis was confirmed, another 18 had suspicions of ZNO.
During the Oncopatrulya program, unique master classes on endoscopic research, reconstructive plastic surgery and radiation therapy were held, as well as lectures and seminars for primary care physicians and nurses. Following the results of the joint work, Ossetian specialists highly appreciated the significance of the project. It is extremely important to learn from the experience of colleagues, new knowledge will help in further work.
The project ended with a working visit of the chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia Andrey Kaprin to the Republic. At the meeting, which was held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Alania Alexander Reutov at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Alania, Andrey Dmitrievich thanked the Minister of Health of the Republic and the leadership of the Republican Oncological Dispensary for the excellent preparation of the event. The meeting also discussed organizational issues of the work of outpatient oncological care centers, personnel training, the problem of early detection of ZNO in the Republic.
Traditionally, during the project there was also a meeting with students of a medical university, in the Republic it is the North Ossetian State Medical Academy. Here, with the participation of the Deputy Director General of the NMIC of Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for medical Issues, Doctor of Medical Sciences Galina Alekseeva, a cooperation agreement was signed that will allow students to practice at the NMRRC of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in the future.
In addition, on the eve of the day of the medical worker, outstanding specialists of the Republican Oncological Dispensary received letters of thanks from the chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia. In turn, Andrey Kaprin was awarded the gratitude of the Head of the Republic Sergey Menyailo, and specialists of the NMRRC were awarded letters of thanks from the Minister of Health of the Republic Soslan Tebiev.
