Oncopatrul in Kursk revealed 28 suspected cancer
All-Russian action “Oncopatrul” summed up the work in Kursk, which became the sixth region in the project. Within two days, on November 19 and 20, 2019, doctors of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, who arrived from Moscow, conducted an examination and diagnosis for oncological diseases in women’s and men’s health on the basis of the largest city-forming enterprise of the city – JSC “Electroagregat”. More than 200 employees took part in the action. Today, the company employs 2,500 people, and the Electroagregat polyclinic serves more than 6,000 people, including relatives of the company’s employees.
According to the results of the examinations, 28 new cases were identified that require additional extended medical examination, including those with suspected malignant formations. The action “Oncopatrul” visited Kursk for the first time, but according to the general agreement of the parties it will be held on an ongoing basis.
“Oncopatrul” is aimed at identifying early forms of ZNO among a healthy population and is conducted for employees of the largest enterprises and factories of cities and regions of the Russian Federation. First of all, workers of harmful industries are invited for diagnosis, as well as those with a history of chronic diseases or health complaints. The Oncopatrul program provides preventive examinations by a gynecologist, a mammologist-dermatologist, a urologist, thoracic and abdominal surgeons, as well as mammography, ultrasound of the thyroid gland, abdominal organs and pelvis, a blood test for PSA for men, a test for latent blood to detect colorectal cancer. The action was organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Administration Kursk region and The Health Committee of the Kursk region.
On November 21, 2019, “Oncopaturl” ended with a solemn information and educational campaign for the residents of the city Kursk, which was attended by almost 1,000 people. The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy I.N. Kagramanyan, Deputy Governor of the Kursk Region I. G. Khmelevskaya, Chief freelance Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Director General of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.D. Kaprin, Chief Physician of the Kursk Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary I.L. Kiselev, Director of JSC “Electroagregat” N.S. Shevchenko, Chairman of the All–Russian Association of Oncological Patients “Hello” I.V. Borovova, Voronezh region I.P. Moshurov, chief freelance oncologist of the Samara region A.E. Orlov, specialists of the FSBI “NMIC Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, who conducted examinations and leading creative teams Kursk Regional State Philharmonic Society.
By tradition, the baton for the next “Oncopatrule” was handed over to the chief physician and chief freelance specialist in oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Samara region, IPO FGBOU IN the SamSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia A.E. Orlov. The action in Samara will take place from December 4 to December 6, 2019.
