The results of the “ONCOPATRUL” campaign in the Republic of Bashkortostan have been summed up
More than 500 employees of the largest city-forming enterprises of the Republic of Bashkortostan – JSC “Bashkir Soda Company” Sterlitamak and JSC “Salavatsteklo” Salavat – were diagnosed with early detection of oncological diseases as part of the All-Russian action “Oncopatrul”. According to its results, 87 new cases of newly detected diseases were detected, seven of which are suspected of malignant.
The Republic of Bashkortostan became the fourth region to take over the baton of the Oncopatrul campaign. It took place in three stages – from August 20 to August 26, 2019, the female population of Sterlitamak was examined, from August 27 to August 30, a survey of employees of enterprises was conducted. The “Oncopatrul” ended with a solemn information and educational campaign for residents of the city of Salavat.
“Oncopatrul”, which is held on the initiative of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Council for Regional Health of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, received the highest support from the top leadership of the Republic – Acting Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Faritovich Khabirov and Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan Maxim Vasilyevich Zabelin. – Our region was one of the first to host the Oncopatrul campaign. I want to say a big thank you to our friends and comrades, the staff of the NMIC of Radiology, who took us under their patronage. M.V. Zabelin also expressed gratitude to the residents of the republic for responding to the project and not remaining indifferent to the initiatives that are carried out by the Ministry of Health, the Government and the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
– All this is done, first of all, for you and me. Early diagnosis is the step that will allow us to preserve the most important thing we have – our life and health,” Zabelin said. According to him, such projects will continue in the republic, and not only with the oncological team, but also with other specialists.
The chief oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia, A.D. Kaprin, noted that the NMIC of Radiology is always ready for cooperation and assistance from the regions. – Oncopatrul is not a one-time action, we are in constant contact with the regions, medical institutions. We have teleconferences, teleconsultations, in which we provide assistance to specialists and patients.
A.D. Kaprin noted the positive dynamics in the work of the oncological service in the republic. – We see a decrease in mortality from cancer. The team that was created, among other things, thanks to the work of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, is efficient, and most importantly interested in cooperation, effective work and focus on results.
The Oncopatrul campaign proved once again that such a format of work with the population is in demand. According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy I. N. Kagramanyan, the project will be held throughout Russia. – This project allows us to solve an extremely important task – to identify the disease at the initial stage, to establish close cooperation between specialists of the federal and regional centers, which subsequently develops into close cooperation. We are talking about online consultations, mentoring young professionals, and training in the latest technologies. But most importantly, it is aimed at the benefit of patients, at the same time popularizing the possibilities of modern oncological care, the need for early detection, the removal of prejudices and barriers.
The next action “Oncopatrul” will be held in Moscow as part of the Second International Forum of Oncology and Radiology from September 23 to 27, 2019.
