Samara became the seventh region where the All-Russian action took place. According to the Minister of Health of the Samara region M.A. Ratmanov, today one of the effective methods of searching for oncological diseases in the early stages is “Oncopatrul”, as an integral part of the general medical examination program.
– Taking into account the fact that the campaign is held at large enterprises, we are, to some extent, returning to the shop approach in healthcare, which at one time was a great success. We hope that other enterprises will join this initiative and the detection of cancer diseases in our region will be much better,” Mr. Ratmanov said.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy of the Federation Council I.N. Kagramanyan noted that the “Oncopatrul” campaign will cover all regions of our country in the next two years. – During such actions, employees of large industrial enterprises of the city are examined. This is a corporate health protection system, and most importantly, drawing attention to your health in the workplace. I.N. Kagramanyan said that before the event, a visit to the Samara Oncological Dispensary took place. – Together with the Minister of Health of the Samara region, we got acquainted with the work of the institution and discussed what the Samara region needs to do within the framework of the federal project “oncology” to improve the availability and quality of oncological care to our population. There are plans to organize an outpatient cancer care center in the region, not only in Samara, but also in Togliatti, Syzran and other inter-district centers. This will contribute to the fact that the diagnosis and availability of medical care will significantly improve,” Mr. Kagramanyan noted.
The director of the A.F. Tsyba MRSC, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation S.A. Ivanov stressed that the purpose of the “Oncopatrul” campaign is, first of all, primary diagnostics and the approximation of highly professional care to potential patients. – The main success in the treatment of oncological diseases is early diagnosis. In the course of the examinations, which are given as part of the campaign, our specialists revealed suspicions of oncological diseases. We can say that these patients were lucky, they were diagnosed in time and detected the disease at an early stage. Here in Samara, I see that as the format of this event develops, the action is becoming more and more popular and becoming more and more effective,” Mr. Ivanov said.
The next “Oncopatrul” will continue its work in 2020. The Kaluga Region will become the eighth region.
