On October 12, Open Days will be held at two branches of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre
For many years, October has been recognized as the international month dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, with the pink ribbon symbolizing an awareness campaign aimed at highlighting the importance of early diagnosis. According to the World Health Organization, over 10 million new cases of breast cancer are registered worldwide each year.
As is tradition, the National Medical Research Radiological Centre will hold Open Days in October, focused on screening women for early detection of malignant tumors.
On October 12, Open Days will be held at two branches of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre:
- At the outpatient clinic of P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute – branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, located at 6 Pogodinskaya Street. Consultations and examinations for early diagnosis of breast and skin cancer will be available. Oncologists specializing in breast cancer and dermatological oncology will be conducting appointments. Depending on indications, breast ultrasound, mammography, and dermatoscopy of suspicious lesions can be performed. Appointments can be made by calling: +7 495 150-11-22. Registration opens on October 7, 2024.
- At the A.Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Centre – branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, located in Obninsk, Kaluga Region, an Open Day will also be held on October 12, focusing on the early detection of breast cancer in both women and men. Appointments can be made by calling: 8 800 250-87-00. The clinic is located at 4 Koroleva Street, Obninsk.
To complete registration, patients will need to provide their passport, compulsory medical insurance (OMS), and pension insurance number (SNILS).
