Russian experts will present breakthrough technologies of nuclear medicine in Berlin
Berlin Science Week, which started on November 1, is one of the most significant international events in the field of science. Leading industry experts and scientists from all over the world present their innovative projects, breakthrough scientific achievements and technologies here. This year, the program plans to hold 130 events with the participation of more than 20,000 specialists.
For the first time, as part of this international event, Russian scientists will present their own developments and technologies in the field of nuclear medicine. On November 8, the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia together with the Koch-Mechnikov Forum will hold a conference “Nuclear Medicine – the alchemy of modern Oncology”, within which three sessions and a panel discussion are planned with the involvement of leading experts from Russia, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, Italy and France. The development of unique domestic nuclear medicine technologies in cooperation with research centers and enterprises of ROSATOM, ROSTEC and the Russian Academy of Sciences already makes it possible to talk about new heights in modern oncology.
Specialists of the NMIC of Radiology will tell about the unique scientific and clinical experience used only in Russia. Radionuclide theranostics using modern drugs, radioembolization of the liver using domestic microspheres, new possibilities of proton therapy for the treatment of adult patients and young children, experience in high–dose and low-dose brachytherapy of tumors of various localization – this and much more will be presented by scientists and experts of the upcoming conference. Berlin Science Week will last until January 10, 2019.
