SPECIALISTS FROM MONGOLIA TOOK A TRAINING COURSE AT THE NATIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH RADIOLOGICAL CENTRE OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
In accordance with the cooperation agreement signed in 2022 between the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the National Cancer Center of the Republic of Mongolia, a group of Mongolian specialists completed an internship at the branches of our Center.
An educational program to familiarize with the work of all clinical and scientific departments was developed for Denis Skuratov, an oncologist specializing in head and neck tumors and reconstructive surgery, Munkhzaya Chogsom, oncoabdominal surgeon and Nomingerel Otgonjargal, an oncologist for medication treatment.
For three weeks, they completed practical training in the department of x-ray surgical methods of diagnosis and treatment, departments of radionuclide diagnostics and therapy and medication treatment; neurosurgical, microsurgical, abdominal departments of the P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute. In Obninsk, specialists got acquainted with the experience of the departments of X-ray surgical methods for diagnosing and treating oncological diseases, radiation and surgical treatment of the head and neck, radiation and surgical treatment of diseases of the abdominal region of the A.Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Centre.
Addressing the Mongolian colleagues who completed their internship in Russia, General Director of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Kaprin noted that cooperation is increasingly gaining momentum, and the range of disciplines and practical experience that we share with Mongolian colleagues is constantly expanding. Last February, specialists from the National Cancer Center of the Republic of Mongolia studied a course on modern technologies for molecular genetic diagnostics in oncology, liquid biopsy methods, and methods for enriching “libraries” for high-throughput sequencing.
Andrey Kaprin emphasized that we also plan to actively cooperate with colleagues in the field of nuclear medicine, which is now actively developing in Russia.
