SPECIALISTS OF THE NMRRC HIGHLY APPRECIATED THE WORK OF THE ONCOLOGY SERVICE OF DAGESTAN
In mid-June, a team of specialists from the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation visited specialized medical institutions of the Republic of Dagestan. The visit took place within the framework of the supervision of the subjects of the Russian Federation under the jurisdiction of the NMRRC. The expert group was headed by Alexey Nevolskikh, Deputy Director for Medical Work at the A. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Centre (MRRC) – the branch of the FSBI “National Medical Research Radiological Centre” (NMRRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The working visit was also attended by oncologists and urologists, radiotherapists and specialists in drug treatment.
The working visit was supposed to assess the state of the oncological service of the region and to provide the necessary organizational and methodological assistance. During the trip the specialists of the federal center visited the centers of outpatient oncological care in Kizlyar, Buynaksk, Makhachkala Clinical Hospital and the Republican Oncological Center. The visit ended with the organization of a working meeting chaired and directly attended by Abdurakhman Mahmudov, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, Tatyana Belyaeva, Minister of Health of the Republic, chief doctors of the Oncology Center and Urology Center and leading specialists of the republic.
“The volume of high-tech assistance provided in the region has significantly expanded. It is important that the construction of canyons for linear gas pedals has been completed at the Republican Cancer Center and the radiotherapy department has been equipped with new gas pedal technology. A rehabilitation department has been opened. Today in the republic patients receive the most modern high-tech assistance”, noted Inna Droshneva, member of the working group, Head of the Radiation Therapy Department of the P. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Institute (MORI).
In turn, Ekaterina Sysoeva, Head of the Department of Coordination of Research and Development of the Center for coordination of Activities of Institutions of the Regions of the Russian Federation in the field of radiology and oncology of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre” (NMRRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, noted that the dynamics of development of oncology services in recent years has increased significantly. “Now patients do not need to leave the republic for treatment, at the most modern level they can be treated at home”, she noted.
It should be reminded that today more than 40 regions, including the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, are under the supervision of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In order to assess the work of regional services, as well as to provide organizational and methodological assistance to the regions in the development and improvement of their activities, the experts of the NMRRC visit specialized medical institutions at least twice a year.
