THE FIRST STEP TO A PROFESSION: INTERNSHIP FOR FUTURE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ENDS AT THE NATIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH RADIOLOGICAL CENTRE
The internship for future medical professionals has come to the end at the A. Tsyb MRRC — a branch of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation. Over the course of a week, the winners and prize‑winners of the municipal Olympiad “The Future of Medicine Starts Today” observed the doctors’ work and truly became part of the Centre’s team.
The school students visited clinical and diagnostic departments, as well as the rehabilitation department. The young interns were able to take direct part in the departments’ activities: they joined a therapeutic exercise session, a cognitive training session and music therapy for patients.
Zhanna Khailova, Deputy Director for Organizational and Methodological Work at the A. F. Tsyb MRRC and Head of the Centre for Coordinating the Activities of Regional Institutions in the Field of Oncology and Radiology, emphasized: “We believe that such career guidance work with senior school students helps them confirm their choice of future profession. Here, they see the cutting‑edge achievements of modern oncology: new operating rooms, high‑tech equipment and, most importantly, our doctors, who are so passionate about science and selflessly help our patients. It is very encouraging to see that today’s school students show such great interest in medicine and empathy for those who really need help”.
At the end of the career guidance week, the interns received special certificates. We wish each of them to find their calling in the profession!
