The Warmth of Hearts and the Strength of Traditions: The National Medical Radiology Research Centre Organized a Creative Meeting for the Children of the «Berega» Centre
Last weekend, at the initiative of the NMRRC and with the personal support of Academician of Russian Academy of Science Andrey Kaprin, a creative meeting was held at the Berega Family Support Center, giving children bright impressions and a warm atmosphere.
The event was attended by Dmitry Karasev, Chairman of the Trade Union Organization of the A.Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Centre, – branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the “National Medical Research Radiological Centre”; Father Igor, rector of the Church of St. Luke of Crimea; performers from the Orthodox Puppet Theater of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Obninsk; and the Druzhenka folk ensemble. Together with the children, the guests immersed themselves in the world of folk traditions and spiritual values, experiencing the joy of connection and shared culture.
The meeting opened with a puppet show about St. Sergius of Radonezh, which touched the audience with its sincerity and depth. Then, young performers from the Druzhenka ensemble filled the hall with their lively voices, singing Russian folk songs and playful rhymes, bringing the energy of folklore to life. Emotions ran high—applause echoed through the hall, and after the performances, both children and adults eagerly joined in traditional folk games, forgetting about age and conventions.
The gathering concluded with a friendly tea party, where discussions continued on the significance of such events. NMRRC’s General Director, Academician Andrey Kaprin, emphasized:
“Supporting children who need care and attention is our direct responsibility. These meetings bring joy to their lives and help them feel part of a big family. We see how eagerly they respond to our support and how important live interaction and cultural enrichment are for them. And for us, seeing their sincere joy, smiles, and shining eyes is of immense value.”
The NMRRC has been a long-time friend and partner of the Berega Center, and this tradition will continue. Ahead lie more meetings, creative initiatives, and shared good deeds that will make children’s lives warmer and brighter.
