An Oncopatrul was held in the Moscow region
The results of the next stage of the All-Russian action “Oncopatrul”, which took place in Balashikha in the Moscow region, have been summed up. More than 350 employees of the Rubin Aviation Corporation took part in the large-scale screening program “Oncopatrul”. According to the results of examinations, 5 people were found to have suspected malignant tumors, all of them were sent for further examination to the Moscow Regional Oncological Dispensary (Balashikha).
More than 2,500 employees work at the Rubin enterprise, however, employees of the enterprise’s departments associated with harmful production and X-rays are in a special risk zone: the X-ray laboratory, foundry, electroplating workshops. They were the ones who were examined in the first place. Diagnostic examinations were carried out according to the program of women’s and men’s health. Specialists-oncogynecologists, oncourologists, mammologists, oncodermatologists, radiologists from the P.A. MNIOI. Herzen, together with colleagues from the Moscow Regional Oncological Dispensary, checked workers for three days for early detection of cancer of the breast, cervix, ovaries, skin, prostate and thyroid glands. Rubin employees highly appreciated the importance of this action.
– It is important to teach people to take responsibility for their health. Often people do not have time to visit a doctor,” said Evgeny Kramarenko, General Director of Rubin. – There is a great opportunity to undergo an examination at a convenient time. We will continue this undertaking. I think this will benefit both Rubin’s employees and the company itself, because a healthy team is the basis for stable and effective activity,” Kramarenko stressed.
Igor Kagarmanyan, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, noted that the uniqueness of the campaign lies in the fact that oncologists themselves come directly to those enterprises and factories where people work. “This creates a responsible attitude of the employer towards the health of its employees and makes it possible to undergo the necessary research on the job, which makes it possible to suspect the risk or early signs of the development of oncological diseases,” Kagarmanyan believes.
According to Andrey Kostin, First Deputy General Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, chief oncologist of the Moscow Region, the action is of the utmost importance for the employees themselves: “People are starting to think about their health, pay more attention to it. And this is very important for the development of a broad diagnosis of malignant neoplasms,” Kostin said.
Within two years, Oncopatrul will cover large enterprises in most regions of Russia, including other municipalities of the Moscow Region, the Voronezh and Kaluga regions, the Republic of Bashkiria and the Stavropol Territory.
