The All-Russian action “Oncopatrul” will be held in the Republic of Bashkortostan
From August 20 to 30, 2019, the All–Russian action “Oncopatrul” – a large-scale screening program for early detection of oncological diseases will be held in two cities at once – Sterlitamak and Salavat of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The action is conducted by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Diagnostics for early detection of breast cancer, cervix, ovaries, skin, cancer of the urinary system in men, thyroid gland, bowel cancer will be carried out by leading employees of the P.A. Herzen Institute of Medical Research, the A.F. Tsyba MRSC and the N.A. Lopatkin Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology – branches of the FSBI “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia. The event will be held in two stages: from August 20 to 26, 2019, the female population of Sterlitamak will be examined, from August 27 to 28, 2019, the employees of the Bashkir Soda Company JSC will be examined (Sterlitamak, ul. Technical, 32. Beginning at 09:00), August 29 – August 30, 2019 at the enterprise of JSC “Salavatsteklo” (Salavat, Industrialnaya str., 18. Beginning at 9:00). According to the results of the diagnosis, all patients with suspected malignant neoplasms will be sent for further examination and necessary treatment to a specialized medical institution of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
On August 30, 2019, at 12.00, the final solemn information and educational event will take place with the participation of the chief freelance oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia A.D. Kaprin, Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan M.V. Zabelin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy I. N. Kagramanyan, Chairman of the All-Russian Association of Cancer Patients “Hello” Irina Borova and specialists who conducted surveys. The campaign is aimed at the formation of cancer awareness and a healthy lifestyle among residents of the city of Salavat. The event will be held at the address: 41A Kosmonavtov Boulevard, Salavat city. College of Music (assembly hall).
Reference: The Oncopatrul project is organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Council for Regional Health of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, heads of the subjects of the Russian Federation and regional health departments. Its goal is to preserve the health of the Russian population and reduce mortality from cancer due to early detection, formation of a healthy lifestyle and cancer awareness among citizens of the Russian Federation. Oncopatrul was launched in February 2019, its participants were students and teachers of the Russian University of Transport (MIIT), employees of Yaroslavl Carbon Black JSC, Yaroslavl, Rubin Aviation Corporation (Balashikha, Moscow region).
