The All-Russian action “Oncopatrul” will take place in Kursk
From November 19 to 21, 2019, a large-scale screening program for early detection of oncological diseases – the All-Russian action “Oncopatrul” will be held in Kursk. Its participants will be employees of the largest enterprise of the city – JSC “Electroagregat”. The plant has a half–century history, specializes in the production of autonomous power sources used in the defense industry, oil and gas industries, geophysics and geological exploration of the forestry and mining industries, agriculture, healthcare at housing and communal services and other facilities of the national economy. The company employs more than two and a half thousand employees.
Within two days, specialists of the leading cancer center of the country of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation will conduct diagnostics for the early detection of oncological diseases among employees of the enterprise. The program provides preventive examinations by a gynecologist, mammologist-dermatologist, urologist, thoracic and abdominal surgeon, as well as mammography and ultrasound of the thyroid gland, abdominal cavity and pelvic organs, blood sampling for the PSA test for men, a test for latent blood to detect colorectal cancer.
The action was organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMIC of Radiology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Association of Russian Oncologists, the administration of the Kursk Region and the regional Health Committee.
The event will be held in two stages:
• from November 19 to 20, 2019 – inspection of employees of the company of JSC “Electroagregat” at the address: Kursk, 2nd Aggregate str., 5A;
• November 21, 2019 – a solemn information and educational campaign aimed at the formation of cancer awareness and a healthy lifestyle among residents of the Kursk region Kursk Regional State Philharmonic, Kursk, Sonina str., 4.
The final event will be attended by: Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy – representative of the legislative authority of the Kursk region in the Federation Council – Senator V.V. RYAZANSKY, representative of the executive authority of the Kursk region in the Federation Council – Senator A.N. MIKHAILOV, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy I.N. KAGRAMANYAN, Deputy Governor of the Kursk region I.G. KHMELEVSKAYA, Head of the Kursk City Council V.N. KARAMYSHEV, Chief Freelance Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia, President of the Association of Oncologists of Russia (AOR) – Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.D. KAPRIN, Head of the Health Committee of the Kursk region, Chief freelance oncologist of the Kursk region – Head of the Oncological service of the region I.L. Kiselev, General Director of JSC “Electroagregat” N.S. Shevchenko, Chairman of the All-Russian Association of Oncological Patients “Hello,” I.V. BOROVOVA and the specialists who conducted the examinations.
