WOMEN WHO NEVER GIVE UP: A STORY FROM PATIENT
Back in 1993, the World Health Organization declared October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, various campaigns are held worldwide to raise awareness and promote vigilance among women regarding this disease. Throughout this month, experts from the National Medical Research oncological Centre of the ministry of health of the Russian Federation will share interesting facts, dispel common myths, and tell inspiring patient stories related to this diagnosis.
The first story is about 74-year-old Suzanna, who came to Moscow from Cameroon to visit her son. Her busy time in the capital was overshadowed by a sudden illness. After Suzanna accidentally found a lump in her breast, she immediately sought help from Russian doctors, who conducted all the necessary examinations. Unfortunately, the diagnosis of breast cancer was confirmed.
In a brief interview, our heroine shares that the support and assistance from the doctors at NMRRC were more important to her than any words. “The treatment is simply excellent, and the people here are very kind!” – says Suzanna. Such patient testimonials are the main motivation for doctors to continue fighting for every life!
