X Eurasian Radiological Forum in Kazakhstan. Participation of the leading specialists of the  National Medical Radiology Research Centre. NMRRC

The Year 2023, June 29 to July 1, the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, for the tenth time, became the center of the meeting of radiologists from the countries of the world community for a joint discussion of the most pressing issues of diagnostic and interventional radiology. The Forum brought together experts from more than 20 countries: Azerbaijan, Austria, England, Belarus, Germany, India, Lithuania, Mongolia, Russia, USA, Taiwan, Finland and other countries.

And the hybrid form of participation made it possible to unite a huge professional audience. President of the Kazakhstan Radiological Society, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Rakhimzhanova R.I. emphasized that such business meetings provide an opportunity not only to sum up, summarize experiences but also look into the future and determine the most promising areas for the industry development.

The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, «the Astana» Medical University, the National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Centre and the Kazakhstan Radiological Society.

The Russian Federation was represented by a large delegation with such well-known experts as Professor Sinitsin V.E. – President of the Russian Society of Radiographers and Radiologists, Pronin S.M. –   Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Rozhkova N.I. – President of the Russian Association of Mammologists, Head of the National Center for Oncology of the Reproductive Organs of the P. Hertsen MORI – branch of the FSBI NMRRC of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation.

At the opening ceremony of the Forum, in the welcoming speech, the delegation emphasized that we are witnesses and participants of a new era of visualization, the widespread use of digital technologies and the possibilities of artificial intelligence in modern types of diagnostics of various diseases.

It also presented an analysis of the implementation of oncomammoscreenings in a changing world. Speech by the Head of the Department of Radiological Methods of Diagnostics of The Oncologists of the Hertsen Institute, Doctor of Medicine Rubtsova N.A. was devoted to radiomics and texture analysis in the diagnosis of malignant tumors of the urogenital system. Radionomic s is a new direction in science that combines radiology, mathematical modeling and deep machine learning.

At the Forum, it also was mentioned the innovations in artificial intelligence in radiology from a representative of India, about the full search for phenomena in radiology from a participant from Azerbaijan, about IAEA support in the development of the profession of «medical physics» from a delegate from Austria, about complications after related liver transplantation and the role of MRI from specialists from Uzbekistan. A wide range of topics for discussion and professional priorities were put by the organizers of the forum at the forefront of the business program, which clearly confirmed the commitment of doctors around the world to the principle of «medicine without borders».
