ARIADNA – a comprehensive molecular genetic solution for therapy optimization

ARIADNA (Artificial Intelligence Approach to DNA Analysis) is a comprehensive molecular genetic solution that will allow you to analyze in detail all clinically significant genomic changes and optimize subsequent therapy.

Analysis of the human genome makes it possible to quickly and accurately clarify the diagnosis at the molecular level, formulate a prognosis for the development of diseases, and also carry out a personal selection of therapeutic treatment.

What is ARIADNA?

ARIADNA is a next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based diagnostic test designed to detect substitutions, insertions, deletions, and copy number changes in more than 22 thousand genes and genomic signatures, including microsatellite instability and tumor mutational burden, using DNA (RNA) isolated from tumor tissue and whole blood.

How it works?

  • The oncologist collects all clinical information and obtains samples of the tumor (standard and paraffin blocks) and the patient’s blood.
  • Samples of genetic material undergo deep molecular genetic analysis.
  • Research results are processed using artificial intelligence using a unique database of biomarkers. The forecast of the potential effectiveness of therapy is formed on the basis of international methods and large clinical studies.
  • A detailed report is generated with the results of the study and recommendations for therapy.

The results of the study are:

  • Molecular genetic passport of the tumor.
  • A detailed report of the studies performed to optimize treatment and counseling.
  • Personalized recommendations for medication therapy based on the molecular characteristics of the tumor.

How to get tested?

Collection and delivery of materials.

To carry out the analysis, it is necessary to provide 2 types of biomaterials. This is necessary to identify characteristics of the tumor and to develop the most effective approaches to treatment.

Blood sampling should be carried out at least 2 hours after eating. Blood sampling cannot be performed while undergoing chemotherapy.

Paraffin histological block (a tissue fragment fixed in formalin and embedded in paraffin). A colored histological preparation obtained directly from this block (glass imprint) must be applied to the paraffin block. The block number and the number on the imprint glass must match.

— Provide a paraffin histological block containing tumor tissue to a biological material collection point at a branch of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation that is convenient for you.

— Take blood into 1 tube with EDTA preservative.

The report of the study – ARIADNA – is a molecular genetic passport of the tumor with personalized possible treatment options.

  • The section «Study Conclusion» contains key findings on recommended therapy that will help your oncologist formulate a treatment strategy.
  • The section «Description of results» contains detailed scientific basis for the prediction of the effectiveness of each of the described medication, including links to studies and international clinical guidelines.
  • The «Sequencing results» section provides detailed data on the somatic and hereditary disorders found in the genome (if a tumor transcriptome is analyzed, the information is included in the report) that lead to tumor growth and can be used as targets for targeted therapy. The section also contains a description of all other changes, regardless of clinical significance.
  • «Clinical Trials Navigator» is a list of current clinical trials in Russia, Europe, Asia, and the USA, where the patient can receive free information about the most promising medications in accordance with the molecular characteristics of the tumor.
  1. The patient received medication treatment without a positive effect;
  2. The possibilities of standard treatment methods have been exhausted;
  3. A rare type of tumor or an atypical course of the disease has been identified;
  4. There is no exact morphological diagnosis or the primary tumor site is unknown;
  5. We need the most complete picture of the disease to plan further treatment;
  6. Family history of cancer;
  7. Previous research did not establish a genetic cause of the disease or standard methods were not informative.

ARIADNA is a tumor genetic profiling platform that uses next-generation sequencing and artificial intelligence algorithms to determine future treatment plans for patients with cancer.

Next generation sequencing technologies have enabled many discoveries in the field of medical genetics. The ARIADNA platform was developed in collaboration with scientists and doctors from the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Services

Research is carried out using new generation sequencing technology (NGS). These studies provide complete molecular genetic analysis of more than 22,000 human genes, including all known cancer-related genes, as well as transcriptome.

Patients can apply for the service, make payment and submit the required biomaterial at any branch of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
