Preserving fertility after cancer treatment. CryoBank
It is not a secret that cancer treatment brings with it side effects, the consequence of which is the loss of fertile functions of the human reproductive system. Scientists of the National Medical Research Radiological Centre have patented and are actively using a program for preserving reproductive function in patients who have undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The method of cryopreservation of biological material stored in a special CryoBank has been patented.

CryoBank provides an opportunity for patients who have a risk of fertility reduction or loss as a result of chemoradiotherapy to have children in the future. The department collects sperm, ovarian tissue, oocytes, embryos; it also cryopreserves and stores patients’ genetic material under special conditions.
