The FSBI “NMRRC’ of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation is a medical federal center that specializes in treatment of all types of urological and oncological pathologies. The main task of the clinic is to implement state programs to provide medical care to citizens of the Russian Federation. Certain services – both inpatient and outpatient – are provided to citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as residents of foreign countries on a contractual (paid) basis.

Thanks to the latest generation equipment, innovative technologies and own research of the specialists, NMRRC is able to successfully combat oncological pathologies of any degree of complexity. Yearly, tens of thousands of patients receive medical care at the clinic. About 14,000 of them undergo surgical treatment and 12,000 of them undergo chemotherapy.

The clinic has the status of a research institute – advanced developments aimed at combating somatic diseases are actively being implemented here. This is why in the walls of the research institute, patients can receive high-tech medical care in these areas in the manner established by the Ministry of Health.

What is meant by high-tech medical care:

  • resource-intensive therapy methods with scientifically proven effectiveness;
  • unique author’s techniques;
  • use of robotic technology;
  • introduction of cellular technologies, etc.

All citizens of the Russian Federation can use high-tech medical care if there are indications – they are determined by the attending physician of the medical institution where the patient is being observed. The decision on hospitalization is made by the clinic’s medical commission based on diagnostic data.

On this page you can learn in detail about the procedure for providing high-tech medical care in our research center.

Compulsory health insurance (CHI) guarantees the receipt of qualified assistance free of charge in the event of an insured event. National Medical Research Radiological Centre is part of the compulsory health insurance system, which makes it possible to provide specialized medical care at the expense of the insurance fund.
Paid services are provided subject to the voluntary consent of the patient, recorded in the outpatient card. To find out whether the services you require are included in the government guarantee program, contact representatives of the insurance company that issued the document to you.
Find detailed information about the rules for the provision of services under the compulsory health insurance policy in a separate information tab in this section of the site.

At the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, medical care in the areas of oncology and urology is provided in an outpatient clinic, day and 24-hour hospitals.

Clinic functions include:

  • prevention and diagnosis of cancer pathologies;
  • treatment and rehabilitation of cancer patients using unique technologies;
  • provision of all types of medical care – primary medical and social, emergency specialized and high-tech;
  • palliative medical services.

To maintain feedback from patients, a single consultation center of the clinic has been created. With the support of consultants, each patient has the opportunity to:

  • Get comprehensive information about paid and free services of the clinical center.
  • Learn more about diagnostic techniques, features of treatment and provision of all types of medical care.
  • Request information about available therapeutic and diagnostic services under quotas, compulsory medical insurance and high-tech medical care.
  • Find out the schedule of reception of specialists and work of diagnostic rooms.
  • Make an appointment with the right doctor.

The consultation center also works with requests from relatives of patients regarding hospitalization and routing.

Making a diagnosis of cancer is the responsibility of an oncologist or a council of doctors. If malignant neoplasms of the hematopoietic system, lymphatic system and related tissues are suspected, a hematologist is involved in the procedure. If difficulties arise in making an accurate diagnosis, an extended consultation is held with the involvement of specialists from oncology dispensaries or federal-level medical organizations.

Treatment tactics are developed during a consultation, which includes oncologists, radiologists, and, in the case of tumors of the nervous system, neurosurgeons. It is possible to involve specialists from related medical fields, which will allow you to adjust the protocol and more accurately predict the effectiveness of therapy. As a rule, consultations are held in medical institutions, which include departments of oncology surgery, chemotherapy, and radiology. To develop treatment tactics, it is allowed to hold a medical meeting online using telemedicine technologies.

Oncology is the most dynamically developing area of modern medical science, which gives patients hope for a successful fight against pathology and achieving sustainable remission. The clinic’s doctors make every effort to introduce effective and safe treatment methods solely in the interests of the patient.

The provision of assistance at the FSBI “NMRRC’ of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation is based on the principles of evidence-based medicine. All decisions on diagnostic, treatment and prevention measures are made taking into account facts confirming their effectiveness and safety for the patient’s health. The organization of the work of clinicians in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine is regulated by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation through the development of clinical guidelines (CGs).

Goals of introducing the CGs into the functioning of the healthcare system of the Russian Federation:

  • provide doctors with information support in the decision-making process to develop a treatment program;
  • help specialists choose the optimal methods of medical intervention;
  • develop and approve standards for the provision of medical care and criteria for its quality.

Groups of experts and professional communities are responsible for the creation and approval of the CGs in accordance with current legislation.

What clinical guidelines contain:

  • patient management protocols;
  • methods of instrumental and laboratory diagnostics;
  • recommended medical intervention options;
  • algorithm of the health worker’s actions, taking into account the stage of the disease, the development of complications, and the presence of concomitant pathologies;
  • names, dosages and methods of use of recommended pharmacological drugs that have state registration;
  • criteria for assessing the effectiveness of treatment;
  • description of methods of rehabilitation and prevention;
  • tactics of patient behavior during complications of targeted therapy.

The CGs are reviewed and updated at least once every 3 years. The protocols are amended to take into account new techniques, medications, minimally invasive techniques and surgical interventions.

The introduction of the CGs allows all patients to receive an identical amount of medical care, regardless of the attending physician and place of residence. Thanks to an evidence-based approach, each of our patients can count on the most effective methods of combating severe pathologies.

This page provides detailed information that will help patients prepare for examinations, a course of radiation therapy, and surgical interventions in accordance with the clinical guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

All patients who are sent for planned hospitalization to our clinic must have the results of laboratory and instrumental studies with them. For each type of pathology, separate lists of diagnostic methods have been generated that will allow the attending physician to comprehensively assess your health status.

If there are concomitant diseases, you need a conclusion from specialized specialists (endocrinologist, cardiologist, gastroenterologist, neurologist) and relevant examinations.

For planned hospitalization, you must take documents and personal belongings with you. A detailed list is posted in a separate tab.
